1. About JapaGaku
JapaGaku is an online Japanese language learning platform that provides personalized one-on-one Japanese lessons to students around the world.
2. Eligibility
- Students under the age of 18 must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before using our services.
- By using JapaGaku, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Lesson Services
- All lessons are conducted online.
- Standard lessons are 50 minutes in duration.
- Lessons are provided on a private one-on-one basis unless otherwise stated.
- JapaGaku reserves the right to modify lesson formats, teaching materials, and teaching methods to improve the learning experience.
4. Bookings and Payments
- Lessons must be booked in advance through JapaGaku’s booking system.
- Payment must be completed before the scheduled lesson.
- Prices are displayed in the applicable currency at the time of purchase.
- JapaGaku reserves the right to change lesson fees and pricing at any time. Changes will not affect lessons that have already been purchased.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Students may cancel or reschedule lessons up to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson, missed lessons, or no-shows may be treated as completed lessons and will not be refunded.

6. Trial Lessons
- Trial lessons are available once per student.
- Trial lessons are intended to introduce students to JapaGaku’s teaching style and assess learning goals and proficiency levels.
- Completed trial lessons are non-refundable.
7. Intellectual Property
- All original teaching materials, worksheets, quizzes, and content provided by JapaGaku remain the intellectual property of JapaGaku.
- Materials are provided solely for personal educational use.
- Students may not copy, distribute, publish, sell, modify, or share these materials without prior written permission.
8. Student Responsibilities
Students agree to:
- Attend lessons punctually.
- Maintain respectful and appropriate communication.
- Prepare the necessary equipment and internet connection for online lessons.
- Use JapaGaku services for lawful purposes only.
9. Prohibited Conduct
The following behavior is strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, abusive language, discrimination, or threatening behavior.
- Recording, distributing, or publishing lessons without prior consent.
- Sharing another person’s account information.
- Using JapaGaku services for fraudulent or illegal activities.
JapaGaku reserves the right to suspend or terminate services without refund in cases of serious misconduct.
10. Limitation of Liability
- JapaGaku does not guarantee specific learning outcomes, examination results, or language proficiency achievements.
- JapaGaku shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
- JapaGaku is not responsible for interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, natural disasters, or third-party service failures.
11. Privacy
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using JapaGaku, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.
